Title: Disparate Kinships

Materials: Interactive wooden blocks, paper personality tests

Date: 2010

Venue: Work: Detroit, Detroit Michigan

Description: A set of wooden blocks was created based on personality tests given to groups of siblings using a information mapping technique. One side of the blocks is left unpainted, while the other side is painted color coding each sibling group. Participants in the gallery were able to play with the blocks, sorting and stacking them, and also creating their own unique personality shape. This piece questions the notion of nature versus nurture while also commenting on the arbitrariness of organizing information.
